This activity focused on analysing the needs of students, professionals, and industry stakeholders in the field of AR/VR/XR. Through desk research, surveys, and focus groups across partner countries, the consortium identified key sectoral demands, existing skills gaps, and expectations for future training.
The findings were compiled into a comprehensive market analysis, which now guides the structure and content of the courses developed in the next phases. This ensures that participants will access training aligned with current and future industry needs.
Status: Key research completed; insights are informing ongoing development work.

Designing Curriculum And Developing Content
Embark on your learning journey with our 19 e-learning courses. From marketing to entrepreneurship, each course is tailored to the metaverse landscape. Plus, gain invaluable insights with our business plan, market analysis report, and marketing strategy.
This activity involves designing and developing 19 e-learning courses covering both technical and non-technical aspects of immersive technologies. The course structure, content flow, and pedagogical strategies have been shaped based on the earlier research findings.
Storyboards have been created, and course content is being finalized and uploaded to the MOOC platform. Partners have also planned the piloting and evaluation process to ensure quality and alignment with learners’ needs.
Status: Content development nearing completion; piloting and evaluation planned.
ACTIVITY 03
Deploying Our MOOC Platform
Experience seamless learning with our cutting-edge MOOC platform. Access course videos, notes, infographics, and more, all in one place. Our goal? To create a fully functional and accessible platform, empowering multiple users simultaneously.
A Moodle-based MOOC platform has been successfully set up and configured to host the full training programme of the Metaverse Academy. The platform will provide learners with access to course videos, notes, infographics, and interactive tools to support diverse learning styles.
Content uploading is currently in progress. Partners have collectively planned the piloting and evaluation steps to ensure usability and high quality. Once all course materials are live and fully tested, the platform will be released and linked on the website.
Status: Platform ready; content upload and pilot preparations in progress. Soon it will be linked to the website.
ACTIVITY 04
Building Capacity And Mobilizing Opportunities
Join us for online and on-site training programs designed to unleash the potential of XR/AR technologies. Discover market opportunities, identify business ideas, and explore financial prospects. Together, let’s cultivate a supportive environment for startups.
This activity focuses on increasing awareness and practical skills in AR/VR/XR technologies among students, vocational trainees, and industry professionals.
The first phases have been successfully implemented, including the development of training materials and the “Train the Trainers” sessions delivered across all partner countries. In the coming months, short training programmes aimed at enhancing university incubators will be launched, followed by regional capacity-building activities that will provide hands-on experience and foster collaboration among local stakeholders.
Status: Initial activities completed; incubation and regional training phases upcoming.
ACTIVITY 05
Implementing And Evaluating Courses
Experience real-world impact with our pilot and testing phase. We strive for excellence, ensuring our courses deliver maximum value to our target groups.
This activity involves conducting a pre-evaluation of selected e-learning courses, covering both technical and non-technical aspects, with a chosen target group.
The primary aim is to gather comprehensive feedback to enhance the quality of the courses and ensure beneficiary satisfaction during both the pilot and actual implementation phases.
Status: The pre-evaluation phase has commenced and is expected to be completed by the end of July 2025. Subsequently, the feedback provided by the selected group will be reviewed and incorporated to refine and update the courses.
