Closing the XR Skills Gap

Interest in AR, VR and MR technologies is growing across education, training and the world of work. However, access to practical and affordable training remains limited.

Through its work with students, educators, companies and innovation actors, METAVERSE Academy has identified that future XR skills go beyond technical knowledge. They also include the ability to understand real problems, design useful applications, communicate value and connect technology with education, business and innovation.

The Final Conference will showcase the main results of the METAVERSE Academy Erasmus+ project, including its free online training programme on AR, VR and MR technologies.

Participants will also hear practical experiences from the project, including XR skills transfer for unemployed youth in South Africa and training developed for incubators supporting XR ideas, funding opportunities and early-stage innovation.
